In the first scripture, verse 1-4, the Apostle Paul teaches us to have fruitful humility and follow Jesus' example. He furthermore continues to urge the Philippians to have brotherly love amongst themselves and also reminds them of the humility that Jesus Christ had when he walked on this earth.Moving on if we read verse 5 all the way to verse 11, Paul wants the Philippians to hold their brotherà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s and sisterà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s in a higher regard than themselves. Just like Jesus Christ humbled himself to be human and die for manà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s sins; so should the Philippians humble themselves to serve each other with modesty and love?
